Step out of the cold touch of winter and into the warmer embrace of Mother Nature this coming spring in Korea. Among the many festivals held in the popular peninsula, the ones that stand out most pertain to an appreciation of nature.
And when it comes to spring, cherry blossom festivals spring to mind!
Cherry Blossom Festival
Cherry blossom season is the very definition of spring in not only Korea but also Japan as well. And like Japan’s own cherry blossom festivals, South Korea’s pinkish facade does leave on in awe of its short-lived beauty — a beauty that many travellers come far and wide for.
Speaking of short-lived beauty, the blossoming season only lasts for a very short duration at each location. Though, there are a few places in the country that you could visit in April to get a glimpse of the much-relished cherry blossom scenery.
In Korea, the most famous cherry blossom festivals include the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival and the Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival in the south of the country. Alternatively, there is also the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival held in Seoul that you could also consider attending.
When To Visit: End of March to April
